Papua New Guinea abolished the death penalty

Papua New Guinea has abolished the death penalty. All death row inmates in this country will be sentenced to 30 years to life without amnesty.
The law on the death penalty, adopted in Papua New Guinea in 1984, was abolished the day before in relation to murderers, aggressors, bandits, as well as those accused of high treason. Hanging was the only method of execution in the country.
