France cancels archival secrets of the war in Algeria

As Paralel.az reports, the French government has declassified archives of cases and investigations related to the war in Algeria.
All these documents were classified for a period of 75 years, and access to them could only be obtained with special permission.
In early March, the Elysee Palace announced President Macron's decision to simplify access to secret archival documents related to the war of independence of Algeria (1954-1962). We are talking about documents with the status of "defense secrets" before 1971.
This procedure will reduce the waiting time for researchers to access the archives.
