As Paralel.az reports, the hieroglyph "gold" has become the symbol of the year in Japan, and also means "money."
The first place out of 223,700 names was taken by the "golden" hieroglyph.
This character was chosen as the symbol of the year thanks to the large number of gold medals won by Japanese athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo this summer.
