Omicron jumped to another continent

The latest strain of the coronavirus, omicron, has spread to another continent.
Two infected patients have been identified in Australia.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health.
They arrived in the country from South Africa on November 27.
It was noted that both people who have completed the full course of vaccination against COVID-19 are currently being held in a special medical isolation ward under medical supervision.
Since November 27, Australia has limited air traffic with Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles and South Africa. Entry to these countries is only allowed for Australian citizens and persons with a residence permit. They have been quarantined for two weeks.
