Armenian human rights activist: "We are not bearers of culture, we are a society of violence"

As Paralel.az reports, Nicole Pashina's remarks about the prisoners sparked a debate in the National Assembly.
Human rights activist Zaruhi Hovhannisyan said: “The country has no real idea that it will protect its citizens so that they do not remain in prison.
I have stated for a long time that we are not a society, not a bearer of culture, we are a society of violence. Speeches, especially from the rostrum, stem from a culture of violence. They are not meant to protect human life.
People have seen so much violence and discrimination that they no longer accept such inappropriate statements.
We chase death by calling people to die rather than live. Death-worshiping churches have no future. "
