Novella Jafaroglu: "The Hague Court will provide Azerbaijan with the compensation it wants"

According to the website of the International Court of Justice, Azerbaijan has filed a lawsuit against Armenia at the International Court of Justice, the main judicial body of the United Nations, for violating the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
The lawsuit claims that Armenia has committed and continues to commit a number of acts of discrimination against Azerbaijanis on the basis of national or ethnic origin: “Armenia pursues a policy of ethnic cleansing, both directly and indirectly, and uses hate speech at the highest level. government, racist propaganda, hate speech and ethnic violence against Azerbaijanis. During the fighting in the fall of 2020, Azerbaijanis again became the target of violence based on ethnic hatred in Armenia. "Armenia pursues a policy of ethnic and cultural cleansing and incitement to hatred against Azerbaijanis, violates the Convention and systematically violates the rights and freedoms of Azerbaijanis."
Novella Jafaroglu, a human rights activist, said: “I believe that the Hague Tribunal will provide Azerbaijan with the compensation it wants. For 30 years, Armenians have to pay for the houses and cultural centers that they have destroyed and plundered. " Azerbaijan must submit documents at its disposal in accordance with all international conventions. If we succeed, the actions of the Armenians for 30 years will remain a trace on their foreheads for the rest of their lives ”.
It should be noted that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) is the highest judicial body of the United Nations (according to Article 92 of the UN Charter). The headquarters are located at the Peace Palace in The Hague, The Netherlands.
