The State Agency for Highways of Azerbaijan told Paralel.az that reconstruction of the Hajikhatamli-Gideyli-Kurd Eldarbeyli highway is underway in the Ismayilli region.
According to the report, a road infrastructure project is being implemented to facilitate movement between three settlements with a population of about 4,000 people, which will lead to the development of agriculture, especially viticulture.
The Hacihatamli-Gideyli-Kurd Eldarbeyli highway with a length of 13 kilometers was unusable due to long-term repairs and natural factors. The shoulders were lower than it was washed away by atmospheric precipitation, and in some sections of the road the channel was at the same level with the natural relief.
The agency dug out deformed parts and unusable pavement along the roads, widened the road to the standard road width, filled and repaired the excavated and expanded parts, and with suitable material to restore the roadway and raise it above natural relief. level, roadbed is built.
In total, the construction area was over 130,000 square meters. The construction of the asphalt-concrete pavement of the road has already been completed, and work is underway to strengthen the shoulders.
At the final stage of the project, road signs, signal poles and distance indicators will be installed, road markings and guidance lines, as well as pedestrian lanes for the normal organization of traffic, will be laid.
