Ali Hasanov, his son and son-in-law will be interrogated in court
The trial continued in the criminal case Vugar Safarli, former executive director of the State Support Fund for Media Development (SSFMD), which was abolished in the Baku Grave Crimes Court, Bunyamin Ismailov, Adalat Valiev, Nadir Mammadov, Bakhtiyar Fatullaev, Tamkin Khalilov, Telman Takhirov, Valiyev Orujov Takhmina, Takhmina, Takhmina Ibragimova and Namiga Hajiyeva.
One of the lawyers filed a motion to interrogate Ali Hasanov, the former head of the socio-political affairs department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, his son Shamkhal Hasanli and his son-in-law Gular Valiyeva for interrogation as witnesses in court.
The judge said that the petition will be considered at the next court session.
Note that the prosecutor announced the indictment at the hearing chaired by Judge Azer Pashayev.
The next hearing is scheduled for September 3.
By the way, Vugar Safarli and Nadir Mammadov are in custody. According to the indictment, Vugar Safarli, along with other defendants, is accused of embezzling 18.5 million manat of state funds, as well as laundering 5.7 million manat obtained by criminal means.
It is argued that although the companies were to be selected through tenders for a number of projects implemented by the Fund, this legal requirement has not been met. The tenders were of a formal nature, construction norms were not observed during the construction of buildings for journalists, the volume of work and prices were inflated in the documents.
