A bust of the National Hero of Azerbaijan, Martyr Lieutenant Colonel Murad Mirzaev was made.
The bust was designed by the sculptor Leila Mamedova.
Note that special forces lieutenant colonel, national hero Murad Mirzaev was born on March 31, 1976 in the village of Mugan, Ganjali, Sabirabad region. He graduated from the Higher Military School in Turkey in 1998 and studied in the United States, Romania and Jordan.
Mirzaev was heroically killed in battles in April 2016. The body of the deceased officer was removed from the battlefield on April 10 through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross and handed over to Azerbaijan. Mirzaev was buried on April 11 on the Second Alley of Honor.
By order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev of April 19, 2016, Lieutenant Colonel Mirzaev Murad Telman oglu was posthumously awarded the title of "National Hero of Azerbaijan".
