In some countries, it is difficult to effectively control the Delta strain of coronavirus.
This was announced at a press conference in Geneva by the President of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adan Ghebreyesus. He noted that the Delta option predates measures to combat the coronavirus and a collective peace response.
The head of the organization also spoke about the importance of strengthening the fight against the disease in countries where there is a shortage of vaccines. Ghebreyesus urged the world to refrain from additional doses of the vaccine in favor of low- and middle-income countries.
