Iranian death toll on the rise

I do not believe that the "water riots" led to the overthrow of the government.

The protests, which began on July 15 in the southern Iranian province of Khuzestan, are growing every day. Protests have already erupted in several cities, including Hamidiye, Bostan and Shagani. The reason for the protests is the unsuccessful projects implemented by the Iranian government in the region and the emerging problem of drinking water for the local population. Among the main demands of the protesters is the elimination of problems with the supply of electricity and drinking water.
One problem that infuriates the population is the fact that in some of these regions, due to projects implemented by the Iranian government, the population has stopped drinking water. Due to the drought, the government changed the direction of some rivers, as a result of which the lakes, which are the source of drinking water for the population, dried up.
The death toll in police crackdowns rose to eight. Some experts believe that the "water uprising" could lead to the collapse of the Iranian regime. He tried to find out the position of political scientist Zardusht Alizadeh on this matter. The political scientist said that Iran is a rich country, people want water from it for drinking and other needs, and they can provide it: he is obliged to provide this payment. It is likely that the government will take action soon.
As for the "water uprisings" that led to the overthrow of the government, I do not believe. First, a government can be overthrown by an insurrection when it is weak and stubborn. The Iranian government is a very strong team. Secondly, a coup d'état needs support from abroad, which is not the case. When the Shah’s regime was overthrown in Iran, the West could intervene in Iran’s affairs, so they supported the internal opposition and played a leading role in overthrowing the regime. But now Mullah Iran's regime is preventing the West and the United States from entering the country. I think so, maybe I'm wrong ... "
