Nusrat Ibrahimov: "Once the migration begins, prices can stabilize in the long run"

Construction and reconstruction works are being carried out in our liberated territories. Measures in this direction will be implemented in stages, as well as in a variety of ways. But what will be the impact of this process on the real estate market in the country?

MBA Ltd. Nusrat Ibrahimov, head of a consulting and appraisal company, says the volume of construction in Karabakh is not enough to affect the real estate market in Azerbaijan. That is the current situation. As for future forecasts, our interlocutor says: “If mass construction works start there, it is, of course, first of all construction materials in Azerbaijan will affect the market. Demand will create determination and lead to higher prices. Stone, sand, cement, wood, etc. the price may increase. On the other hand, as some IDPs are gradually relocated, there may be some increase in supply in the market. Note that in the long run, prices are usually rising. But when that migration begins, prices can stabilize in the long run. That is, price increases can be prevented. Therefore, the impact of this process on prices may be negligible, it will not be significant.
