Certificates of four elements included in UNESCO list were presented to Minister of culture Anar Karimov

 

Paralel.az president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Minister of culture and tourism of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani.

As a result of the efforts of First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, goodwill ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mehriban Aliyeva, it was noted that our national culture is increasingly recognized in the world and its position in such influential organizations as UNESCO is strengthening.

Stressing that the number of our national cultural elements included in UNESCO's relevant lists is growing, Elnur Sultanov noted that the certificates on the latest elements were presented to the Azerbaijani side.

The Secretary General of the National Commission presented certificates confirming that the nomination files “Yalli (nomadic, Tanzara): traditional group dances Ofiviva”, “Dada Gorgud heritage: Epic culture, folk tales and music”, “pomegranate festival, traditional pomegranate festival and culture” and "miniature art" were included in the list of non-material cultural heritage of humanity.

At the end, discussions were held on the cooperation of alkamiz with UNESCO and current and perspektiv activities carried out within the framework of various conventions.

It should be remembered that the decisions on inclusion in the list of the multinational nomination file “Dada Gorgud heritage: Epic culture, folk tales and music” jointly presented by Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kazakhstan and the National nomination file “Yalli (nomadic, Tanzara), traditional group dances Ofiviva” in the Urgent Protection list of UNESCO took place in Port Louis, the capital of the Republic of Mauritius on it was adopted at the 13th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee.

The decisions on the inclusion of the files on the National nomination” pomegranate festival, traditional pomegranate festival and culture “and the” miniature art " multi-national nomination presented by Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran and Uzbekistan were adopted within the framework of the 15th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO held in Paris on December 16, 2020.

Currently, 15 non-material cultural heritage items are listed in the UNESCO list.
