SOCAR Trading (the trading house of the Azerbaijani state-owned company SOCAR) will conclude a long-term contract providing for deliveries of oil products to Pakistan in the amount of more than 1 million tonnes per year. The head of the public relations department of SOCAR, Ibrahim Ahmadov told Trend Agency about this.
'A credit line will be provided for the initial batch of products worth $100 million. As a result, SOCAR becomes the second long-term supplier of oil and oil products to Pakistan,' he said.
It should be noted that earlier the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet of Ministers of Pakistan approved the agreement on fuel supplies with the Azerbaijani state company SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic).
'The Committee approved the proposal of the Ministry of Oil regarding the agreement on the supply of fuel between the State Oil Company of Pakistan (PSO) and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR),' the Pakistani media reported.
