The meeting of US President Donald Trump and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in September will not take place during his visit to the US, Sputnik-Armenia reports.
The agency names three reasons for the cancellation of the meeting of the US and Armenian leaders: Pashinyan's visits to Russia, participation of Armenian soldiers in the humanitarian mission in Syria and the admission of Russian specialists to American laboratories in Armenia.
The agency notes that the fact of Trump's meeting with Pashinyan was never officially confirmed.
'It was only about its preparation, about the possibility. Some congressmen lobbied for the meeting,' the report says.
