With interest, I proceed from the fact that the game will be nice, and as for usefulness, because a lot of your colleagues from other countries have come and there is an opportunity to talk with everyone, to meet with someone, to get acquainted,' the head of the Russian state addressed the President of Azerbaijan, starting the meeting in the Kremlin. Putin added that Aliyev can discuss interesting topics with his colleagues from the CIS in Moscow.
Aliyev congratulated Putin on the Day of Russia, celebrated on June 12, and with the successful completion of preparations for the World Cup. 'This is the main sporting event of the world, I am confident that the championship itself will be successful, all guests will be satisfied,' said the Azerbaijani president.

During the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow is preparing for the next visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Russia on August 30.
'As for our bilateral relations, we will thoroughly and deeply discuss them; we will work on this on August 30 during your visit to Russia,' said the Russian leader.
