Ukraine strikes Russian territory with ATACMS missiles for the first time after Biden's approval -VIDEO
Ukrainian Armed Forces struck Russia's Bryansk region with U.S.-made ATACMS missile systems during the night of November 18 to 19, Paralel.Az reports.
Russian Ministry of Defense stated that a total of six missiles were launched, five of which were intercepted, and one was damaged.
"At midnight, ballistic missiles were used to strike one of the facilities in the Bryansk region. According to confirmed information, U.S.-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles were used in the attack. As a result of air defense measures, five missiles were intercepted, and one was damaged," the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Note that just a day earlier, reports emerged that U.S. President Joe Biden had approved Ukraine's use of ATACMS tactical missiles to strike Russian territory.
Although the U.S. side has not officially confirmed this agreement, Ukraine has already begun to deploy ATACMS tactical missiles.
