US State Department threatens Georgia
"Georgia will face "consequences" due to electoral irregularities and maintaining the country's current foreign policy," at a briefing said U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, Paralel.Az reports.
"We have constantly called on the Georgian government this year to stop its anti-democratic actions and return to the Euro-Atlantic path. We do not rule out further consequences if the direction of the Georgian government does not change," he said.
Miller added that the United States joins the call for a full investigation into reports of irregularities in the Georgian parliamentary elections.
