Russia does not interfere in the affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan - Kremlin Spox
"Russia does not interfere in the affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan," stated the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov on October 8, answering a question from an Izvestia correspondent, Paralel.Az reports.
He recalled that, according to the format of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the leaders of countries always sit at the same table, but this does not speak to Moscow’s participation in the affairs of Baku and Yerevan.
"They continue their dialogue one way or another within the CIS. But the rest - bilateral relations - is no longer ours, it is their sovereign prerogative," he specified.
At the same time, the Russian side is in dialogue with both countries, the president’s press secretary clarified.
“We discussed Russian-Armenian relations with Armenia, and Russian-Azerbaijani relations with Azerbaijan,” Peskov added.
