Azerbaijan, Indonesia sign visa-free agreement for diplomatic passport holders
Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Friday with his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi, on the margins of the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Paralel.Az reports citing Azerbaijan MFA.
The meeting discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia, and the preparatory process for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The sides highlighted the significance of developing relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Indonesia in various fields, including economy, transport, and tourism.
They also stressed the importance of boosting collaboration between the two countries within the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, the OIC and other international organizations.
Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan's initiatives within its COP29 Presidency and expressed readiness to partner with Indonesia in climate action efforts.
The meeting concluded with signing an agreement on establishing visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
