The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has responded to Iranian officials' objections regarding the Zangazur Corridor, Paralel.Az's Moscow correspondent reports.

During a briefing today, the Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated that Russia has conveyed its position on the provisions of the November 10, 2020 statement to representatives of official Tehran.

"We have expressed our position in detail. We have also conveyed this position to Tehran through diplomatic channels. There is no inconsistency in Russia's stance on respecting the sovereignty of regional countries, nor can there be. Respect for the sovereignty of not only regional countries but all countries is a fundamental principle for us," the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson emphasized.
