Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation elects new chairman

 

Sahib Mammadov has been elected as the new president of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), the issue was included in the agenda of the 7th Extraordinary Congress of ATUC held on August 26, Paralel.Az reports.

Due to time constraints related to Sattar Mohbaliyev's participation in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for September 1, his resignation from the position of chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) was accepted, and the congress participants unanimously voted for Sahib Mammadov as his successor.

Note that Sahib Mammadov was born in 1978 and graduated from the Faculty of International Law at Kyiv State University. Since 2014, he has been working at the Ministry of Economy and was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Economy by a decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 23, 2021. He has been awarded the "For Distinction in State Service" and "Tereggi" (Progress) medals.
