“We have high hopes that the war in Ukraine will end in a year at most, and therefore the situation in the region will calm down,” the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, told journalists after attending the fourth meeting of the European Political Community, at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, the United Kingdom, Paralel.Az reports citing Georgian Public Broadcaster.

“First and foremost, the war in Ukraine must end. Of course, this summit included discussions on the topic of bringing about peace in the region. We have high hopes that the war in Ukraine will end in one year at the most, the situation in the region will calm down, and all of this will have a positive impact on the political situation in our region as well as on the attitude towards Georgia,” said the Prime Minister.

At the summit, the world leaders reaffirmed their continued support for Ukraine and discussed the topics of energy and connectivity, security and democracy, and migration.

Georgia has also joined the Summit declaration.
