Switzerland, NATO sign agreement to open alliance office in Geneva
NATO will open an office in Geneva to develop ties with international and non-governmental organizations based in the city, Paralel.Az reports citing.
The corresponding agreement was signed by representatives of the parties, the Federal Council (Government) of Switzerland said.
NATO is "opening a liaison office in Geneva to provide representation to international and non-governmental organizations based there," the statement said. An agreement on the legal status of this office was signed on Monday in Bern by the head of the International Law Directorate of the Swiss Foreign Ministry Franz Perret, and the director of the NATO Legal Affairs Bureau John Swords, the government noted.
