Zelenskyy before NATO summit in Washington: We fighting for more air defense, F-16s for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, before the NATO summit, which starts on Tuesday in Washington, expressed confidence that Ukraine will receive more air defense systems to protect against Russian terror, Paralel.Az reports quoting Interfax.
"Now it's Washington. The NATO summit begins today. We are fighting for more air defense for Ukraine. I'm sure it will happen," Zelenskyy said in a video address.
According to the head of state, negotiations are underway on the supply of more F-16 fighters to Ukraine. "We are fighting for more F-16 aircraft. We are fighting to have them. We are fighting for additional security guarantees for Ukraine – and these are weapons and finances, political support. We are fighting for the necessary decisive actions of America and Europe – strengthening our soldiers," he said.
"We are doing and will do everything to ensure that Russian terror loses. And not only our state needs this, everyone needs it, literally every partner, all nations," Zelenskyy said.
