Ambassador calls on Georgian government to change its course for EU membership
If the Georgian government does not change its course, it will not be able to move towards EU membership, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia Pawel Herczynski told reporters, Paralel.Az's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
He emphasized that the EU leaders' decision to suspend Georgia's integration is disappointing, but the Union had been signaling for months that there would be consequences if the law "on transparency of foreign influence" was passed.
Ambassador noted that it depends on Georgians how quickly Georgia becomes an EU member. He added that the Georgian government's real intentions are not clear to the EU.
