Aghali village was built on the basis of SDG - Special Representative of Azerbaijani President
"These initiatives are guided by modern urban planning principles that prioritize sustainability, inclusion, and safety," Vahid Hajiyev, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts which are included in the East Zangazur economic region said this during the panel discussion of the 29th high-level meeting on “Pathway to COP29: Sustainable and Resilient Future” held in Azerbaijan's Zangilan, Paralel.Az reports.
"I would like to talk about the first settlement built after liberation from occupation. This is Aghali village. You probably saw it on the plane while flying to Zangilan. It was built on the basis of sustainable development goals (SDG) and these goals were taken into consideration during construction.
Today, 171 families - 870 people live comfortably in Aghali. Today we are talking about COP29. I would also like to speak about how we conduct construction work here in the liberated territories. During construction, insulated materials were widely used. The roofs of the houses are equipped with solar panels. Solar panels have been installed in all administrative buildings to acquire clean energy. Turbines have been built in the Hakari River to provide the village with energy," he underscored.
