Egypt condemns Israeli seizure of Rafah Border Crossing
Egypt condemned Tuesday the Israeli seizure of the Palestinian side of Rafah Border Crossing during the military operations it had been carrying out in the town, Paralel.Az reports citing Egypt Today.
The statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered that such "perilous escalation a threat to the lives of more than one million Palestinians who majorly depend on that crossing" as a main source of humanitarian aid and exit for the injured and patients.
Egypt called upon the Israeli side to exercise the highest degree of self-restraint, and abandon policies that jeopardize the tremendous efforts deployed to accomplish a sustainable truce in Gaza Strip.
The country also called on all influential international parties to intervene and exert pressure to resolve the crisis and pave the way for diplomacy to achieve the desired goals.
