"One person has been injured, some houses have been damaged as a result of an earthquake in Tokat province of Türkiye," said Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, Paralel.Az reports.

As a result of the quake, three houses have seriously been damaged, minarets of two mosques have been destroyed in Yozgat city.

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake occurred in Sulusaray district of Tokat province of Türkiye, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) of Türkiye stated, Paralel.Az's Türkiye correspondent reports.

It was noted that the earthquake was registered at 18:11 local time, at a depth of 5.99 km.

Some houses were damaged in a village, the Sulusaray district mayor said.
