West wants to interfere with the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement - Russian SC Secretary

 

The West seeks to shake up the situation in the South Caucasus and prevent the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev said, Paralel.Az reports citing TASS.

“We also see the desire of Westerners to shake up the situation in the South Caucasus, as well as to interfere with the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement, which has led to an aggravation of the situation in these regions,” Patrushev said, speaking in Bishkek at a meeting of secretaries of security councils on Afghan issues.

On February 12, the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan announced that an Azerbaijani border guard was wounded during shelling from the territory of Armenia. On the morning of February 13, the State Border Service announced that it had carried out a “retaliation operation” in response, as a result of which an Armenian combat post was destroyed.
