West wants to eliminate Russia from Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization process - Russian official
The West’s interests in the Southern Caucasus are not help for Armenia to normalize relations with Azerbaijan, said the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin in his interview with Izvestiya publication, Paralel.Az reports.
Galuzin noted that the interests of West interests in the Southern Caucasus are not help for the normalization of bilateral relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, nor achieving sustainable peace and stability in the region, but its interests consist of pushing Russia out of this process, creating another source of tension near its borders.
“Despite this, we still hope that the sooner official Yerevan abolishes its doubts about the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), returns to constructive, productive and meaningful discussions of the issues on the organization's agenda at the political level and at the level of experts, the better it is,” the diplomat emphasized.
