Azerbaijan's MFA establishes working group and headquarters regarding presidential elections

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has approved the work plan for the organization of presidential elections outside Azerbaijan's borders, this was announced today at the joint briefing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Central Election Commission in connection with the organization of extraordinary presidential elections, Paralel.Az reports.

Noted that 49 polling stations were established in 37 countries related to the extraordinary presidential elections in Azerbaijan.

To ensure operativeness and control regarding the election, and to take necessary steps, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs established a working group and a headquarters that will operate 24 hours a day from February 7-8.

It was noted that the presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be monitored by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), The Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS), Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Parliamentary Assembly of Economic Cooperation Organization, Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), The Asian Parliamentary Assembly (Paralel.Az), International Parliamentarians' Congress (IPC) as well as parliamentarians of several states.
