The Russian leader's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that Russia is in constant contact with Iran and Pakistan through diplomatic channels, Paralel.Az reports citing Teller Report.

Thus, he commented on the escalation of relations between Tehran and Islamabad.

“The Russian side maintains constant contacts with the mentioned countries through diplomatic channels,” Peskov said.

Earlier, Pakistan confirmed attacks “on terrorist hideouts” in Iran.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said the Pakistani military's strike on Iran, which killed ten people, was disproportionate and unacceptable.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called on Iran and Pakistan to show maximum restraint amid the worsening relations between the parties.
