During the fourth quarter of 2023, the amount of the financial flows to Azerbaijan has reached AZN 43.3 bln, said Central Bankf of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Paralel.Az-Rconomics reports.

According to information, this is 12.4% or AZN 4.8 bln. more compared to the corresponding period of last year.

It was noted that, during the fourt quarter of 2023, the economic activity index increased by 11.6% compared to the corresponding period of last year.

During the fourth quarter of 2023, the sectors of economic activity with the highest share of total paymenmt reciepts were public adminstration and defense (32.9%), wholesale and retail trade (13.6%) and construction (9.9%).

The areas of economic activities which contributed the most to the inflows growth compared to the corresponding period of previous year were the areas of public administration and defense (1.9 bln manat increase) and transport and storage (1.8 bln manat increase).
