According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) of Türkiye, the earthquake, with its epicenter in Battalgazi district of Malatya, was registered at 15:10 local time with a magnitude of 4.0.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 8.76 kilometers.
