Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has held a meeting with Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Special Envoy on Afghanistan of the Secretary General Tariq Ali Bakheet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told Paralel.Az.

During the meeting, the existing cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and OIC and prospects of relations, as well as OIC's activity in Afghanistan and the future prospects in this direction were discussed.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has stressed the close cooperation ties with the Organization with satisfaction. It was noted that the opening of the OIC Labour Centre in Baku this year will further advance relations within the Organization.

During the discussions, the parties stressed the importance of peace and stability in Afghanistan.

At the same time, the sides have exchanged views on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
