"Armenia should understand that the roots and seeds of peace are not in Washington, Brussels and Paris, but here,"Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev told journalists, Paralel.Az reports.

According to him, in order to advance this peace and achieve serious achievements, Armenia should look into the region and continue negotiations with Azerbaijan: "Azerbaijan has goodwill. The sovereignty of our country has been ensured, a new status quo has emerged in the region, and this status quo is a legitimate status quo based on justice and international law. The previous status quo, which was created by Armenia by occupying the lands of Azerbaijan, is supported by Armenia also defended the members of the Minsk Group, this was unjust and unacceptable."
