Tourism and recreation zones will be established in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan


"A number of projects will be implemented in the direction of improving tourism infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan," it was noted in the "State Program on Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027 years" approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Paralel.Az reports.

The document envisages the development of various types of tourism (winter, rural, eco, etc), and the preparation of a tourism atlas, conducting work to include some historical architectural monuments of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the main list of UNESCO's tangible cultural heritage examples, as well as the creation of tourism and recreation zones.
