Azerbaijani MFA sent note to Iran

 

Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the issue of the entrance of 14 citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran on recent days to the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan outside the border checkpoints established by the law, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, Paralel.Az reports.

Aykhan Hajizada, Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan noted that Any foreign visit to the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan must be carried out in accordance with the rules established within the framework of the national legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity

"When it comes to the news spread about the illegal crossing of citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran to our territories, a corresponding note was sent to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to clarify the information. A response is expected from the other side regarding the issue right now," he noted.
