Zelensky postpones demobilization

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a decree issued on September 30 canceled the fall conscription for regular military service and postponed demobilization slated to start in October, Paralel.Az reports citing Reuters.

The document inked Friday applies amendments to a presidential decree dated December 2021, which laid out a plan for the release of conscripted military servicemen into the reserve and terms of regular conscription for military service.

The changes on demobilization will apply to all citizens who have already served the required term and who will now remain in their units until ordered otherwise.
