Suren Parsyan: “Inflation in Armenia will continue in 2022”

 

Armenian expert economist Suren Parsyan said that migration, poverty and prices in Armenia continue to rise: “If everything is so good, why are people emigrating? According to official statistics, more than 100,000 people left Armenia last year.
The central bank, which tries to prevent inflation by periodically raising the refinancing rate to do this, is actually increasing loans, making life difficult for citizens living in debt. This tool alone is not enough to prevent inflationary risks in the country.
This process will continue in 2022, as utility tariffs have increased: water prices have increased, electricity prices have increased, gas prices are expected to rise from April 1.
They are trying to create in people an illusion of well-being that has nothing to do with reality. From a political point of view, this may work for one or two, but in reality, people understand that both the refrigerator and the pockets are empty.
