Despite close relations with Russia, Ankara has always considered Kiev to be right and supported it in the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation, Paralel.az reports. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who also intends to maintain normal relations with Russia, reaffirmed his position today:
"Turkey has supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine from the very beginning. We have demonstrated a clear position against Russia's actions, especially in Crimea, which damage the territorial integrity of Ukraine. It is impossible to change our position."
