Paralel.az reports with reference to the Central Bank of Turkey, the national currency of Turkey strengthened by 2% on Thursday.
On December 23, one US dollar was sold for 11.82 pounds sterling.
A week ago, the Central Bank of Turkey decided to reduce the discount rate from 15% to 14%, which led to another sharp devaluation of the Turkish currency. The national currency of Turkey fell on Monday to a record low of 18.4 lira per dollar.
