Armenians admit psychological defeat

Ruben Babayan: “Defeated people cannot develop, we have a psychological problem”

Although politicians do not recognize the psychological turmoil in Armenian society after the 44-day war, representatives of the Armenian cultural community do not hesitate to express this.
Ruben Babayan, artistic director of the Puppet Theater named after Hovhannes Tumanyan, told 24TV: "Today we have a big problem, first of all, psychological - defeated people, a defeated society can never develop."
Babayan sees the path to development in the exit from the psychology of defeat. The actor asks a rhetorical question: how to get rid of psychology and win? The answer to the question itself is that the winning country is the only country that loses on the battlefield. "
To substantiate his illogical opinion, R. Babayan cites the example of the Second World War. “After World War II, the examples of Germany, Italy and Japan showed very well that it is possible to win on the battlefield, because the defeated countries are developing, and the victorious USSR does not exist today,” Babayan said.
