Turkish prosecutors issued warrants for the detention of 101 former servicemen of the country's air force suspected of having links with the organisation of the Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen (FETO), Anadolu Agency reports citing a law enforcement source.
According to information, the prosecutor's office of Ankara sanctioned the arrest of the accused in relations with FETO. Among them, one general, five colonels, two lieutenant colonels, four majors, 25 captains and 54 lieutenants who were previously suspended from work on suspicion of having links with FETO. The operation to detain them takes place in 22 provinces. At present, 37 people are detained, the operation is continuing.
